In order to compare the different floorplans we are looking at how they all layout. The goal is to have two bathrooms and a larger closet. Some of these do not meet those specifications but they may come close, and with the price points they may be viable options.

Florida Burn Ban Map - Active Burn Ban Information

 When camping it is always nice to know what the Burn Restrictions are. 

During a burn ban, you are not permitted to light a fire in the campfire ring nor to use freestanding fire pits. You are permitted to bring and use a propane grill, a freestanding charcoal grill or an electric grill/griddle (if the campsite provides an electrical power hookup) for cooking use during a burn ban.

Highlands Hammock State Park - Sebring Florida - Starlink Friendly Sites.

 Staying at Highlands Hammock State Park. I wanted to find all the potential campsites in Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring Florida, that would support setting up Starlink with minimal Obstructions. Almost all of these sites listed would have some small obstructions but as long as you have the ability to move your Starlink Antenna you can maximize your connectivity. 

Here are the Sites that I looked at that had a location available that allows a fairly open view.

Starlink Setup - Tiffin Phaeton

 I bought the Starlink RV Model in order to Travel and had to Set it up. First thing I did was open the APP and check my location for Obstructions. I was pretty Good, but it still recommended that I look for a better location. WELL, there is no better location so I had to take the chance. 

it worked fine sitting on the top of the RV (but wasn't as secure as I wanted and needed a Better View of the sky)

Routed the Cable through the back Bay, in the top there is a Set of Power cables from the washer and dryer, it had the room to run the cable in. (this allows me to keep the cable permanently ran through this opening)

You can see in the Bay this is where the Hole is. 

There is a Small Space under the Washer/Dryer in the back Bedroom

 inside the space is the opening for the cables.

The Space has an opening under it to allow the cable to come into the Bedroom. 

NOW that the cable is Run the modem sits on the back dresser and is very accessible from all areas of the RV and outside. 

The next thing was to secure the Antenna on the RV in a better way so I found that the Harbor Freight Flagpole is probably one of the better options. 

OUR 2015 TIFFIN PHAETON 36GH - We finally closed the deal.

 It was a Long Road but we finally closed the deal on the RV. We purchased from Lazy Days RV in Tampa Florida. This is our 3rd RV and we did a mountain of research and found the one that we feel is fitting us very well. 

Next thing we needed - Our Tow Vehicle

 We are towing a 2021 Chevy Tahoe, High Country. I know what you will say. "That is a HUGE Vehicle to tow." but we want the space to be able to take what we need and travel in style, including having the space we need to take others with us. Here are the Details of our Setup. 

1. Avail Blue Ox Tow Bar (10,000lb) rated Tow Bar. 

2. Blue Ox Base Plate specifically for our 2021 Chevy Tahoe.

3. Demco Air Force One Air Brake System. 

4. 10,000lb 2" drop/raise hitch extender. 

These components were all professionally installed on both our RV and our Tahoe. 

Our Vehicles. 

1. 2021 Chevy Tahoe High Country - GVWR 7500lbs,  Curb Weight is 6039lbs. This means that as long as I do not have a major load in my Tahoe, which we typically will have no passengers, possibly a full tank of gas (22gals @8lbs per gallon 176lbs) other fluids we estimate our load in the Tahoe to be about 500lbs to be safe, so 6539lbs to be safe)

2. 2015 Tiffin Phaeton - Tow Capacity of 10,000lbs. Which means we are well within the tow capacity of the RV and in a safe range of the towing components. 

We should be good to tow and be safe doing it. 

The first thing we upgraded, IMMEDIATELY in a Used RV - The Mattress

 If you bought new then you may be OK. but most RVs mattresses are not that comfortable. If you are buying a Used RV, you may want to replace the mattress right away. We replaced ours even before we finished delivery and inspection. It is one thing to be in a very nice rig and everything is beautiful and looks inviting, and then you get ready to go to bed and it is the most uncomfortable mattress and you wake up and have to go somewhere to get a new mattress or mattress topper. 

Make the choice, change it out and you will be thankful you did.
